Many of Green Acres characters were on Petticoat Junction before Green Acres was created. I don't know why Joe Carson always sought exec jobs.That requires college, he probably never got past 7th grade. Hard to imagine that diner being that busy.

The banker also played Wendell, the last engineer of the cannon ball in the sixth season. In the 7th season, the train rarely appeared and there was no on camera conductor. All three railroad men died during the series. Charlie died before Kate followed by Floyd and Wendell. I believe the series should have been canceled after the 6th season since the entire show was created especially FOR her. The she just list its luster once Kate got too week to appear in it. Instead it fell victim of CBS's Rural Purge when they thought that morality in America was no longer vital.
