In this video i show how I do the dragon scale rod wrap. This way of doing the dragon scale rod wrap is the best way I found. The other ways you seen on YouTube are not even close to right. If you take short cuts, you will end up with a dragon scale wrap that looks bad.

I've watched several of your videos, I like your style man. Straight forward and to the point, and I also agree on laying down thread rather than tape. I watched a couple other videos and thought I would try it doing a thread fishnet, then I click on your video and see that is what you did and it turned out beautiful. One question about the layout if you don’t mind, are the dots from top to bottom over top of one another or they offset by half if that makes sense. In other words what you did to the top you did exactly the same to the bottom or did you offset the bottom marks half the length of the top marks? Thank you for the video I’ve watched most of them now just getting into Rob building myself and you’ve been a real help.

Thanks for a great video. I have watched several others and your method of layout seems quicker and easier. Can you tell me how you decided on .5 cm spacing? Also it looked like you were wrapping every 5th dot for spacing…. how did you decide this? Thanks again

Does the taper of the rod effect your spacing? I know for closed wraps you should consider that.. but how is it here?
