In my head canon V2 isn't explicitly made as a genuine superior to V1, rather they were made as alternatives depending on the situation that needed to be tackled. V1 is much stronger in pure combat scenarios where blood is available for quick repair, but V2 is better for singular scouting missions where blood won't be found.

After you beat the game, you unlock a mode where V2 (maybe buffed) chases you in stages.
He'd probably need to be buffed and obviously invincible when in this "Speedrun mode"

Wow, i didn't knew V2 was Mirage's big brother and only family member after they lost both their parents in a car crash. I think the dialogue options to get his approval were too much guess work though, overall nice lore dump.

Just read a comment speaking of v1 in a hibernation mode... that is alot more intimidating than what most people realise, imagine hell is regaining souls due to new sentiant life reflowing threw hell again and v1 just fucking wakes up, like it survived a massive dry season and is ready to fuck up demons again.
