Webinar ALG-AD - 16 March 2022 - Seasonal variations, paper filtration, microplate screening

As Alg-Ad enters its final year, the team is publishing numerous reports from the work carried out on the project in recent years.
This two-part webinar will present the content of two of these reports :

- A first talk with Dr Rahul Vijay Kapoore from Swansea University will focus on the seasonal variations in the biochemical composition of microalgal biomass cultivated using nutrient-rich digestate (NRD) as a nutrient source.

- A second talk with Dr Jai Sankar Seelam from Ghent University will present the key results obtained during the investigation on use of cost-effective paper filtration systems and microplate screening methodology for integrated microalgae-AD research. The advantage of using paper-filtration for digestate pre-treatment over membrane-filtration, a conventional and more expensive technique, will be discussed.
