When Mosquitos Raided a Prison

Operation Jericho was a daring plan for an air raid upon the Amiens prison in German-occupied France in 1944. Requiring exceptional precision the plan was for Mosquitos to conduct low level accurate targeting of the prison walls to help French and Allied prisoners escape. A rarity for the crews it gave them the opportunity to immediately save lives with an air operation. There is some controversy as to why exactly the raid was ordered and precisely who requested it to this day.

I've always loved the appearance of the Mosquito and they look gorgeous in this video. Also thought the effect of the rain and snow streaming past the aircraft as they flew over the Channel looked quite good! Top notch stuff once again. :)
