Queens is where to find the king—the Lemon Ice King of Corona, that is. The Lemon Ice King is one of those mom-and-pop institutions all true New Yorkers know about. It is famous for one thing and one thing only: Italian ices.

Seeing this reminds me of Corona, my old "stompng ground", as a teenager, Vinnie, one of my friends, boyfriend, who was such a good, decent, kind, young, men, in a "sea" of many not so good, young men! Learning he bought LIK, I knew he would continue to operate one of the best, no, THE BEST, Italian Ice restaurants of any place! My Grandson at 2 years old, while in Italy, shared an Italian Ice, tough good, not close to LIK, Congratulations Vinnie, I always knew you would find your "Happy Place"
