The way this girl called for her mother, broke my heart. So much love, so much pain in one word 'Ma'

This movie made me think about how I’d die:
I wanna be sitting on a chair, on the beach, listening to the waves. While I slowly drift away permanently.

If you think about it, despite hard times much of her life, Kya post-trial, got a life many would love- she spent her later life in the company of someone she deeply loved, who deeply loved her, in the place that was her true home that she deeply loved. And that, by doing what she loved, she was able to live comfortably throughout her later days. She even reconnected with one of her siblings and based on the clip, stayed close to him & his...we should all be so lucky to have thst be our later years. God bless

[last lines]
Kya Clark : [narrating] It has always been enough to be part of the natural sequence of things. Sure as the tides, nature as my guide. The marsh knows all about death, and doesn't necessarily define it as tragedy - certainly not a sin. It understands that every creature does what it must to survive. And that sometimes, for prey to live, it's predator must die.
Kya Clark : I am in the marsh now. I am the feather of an egret. I am every shell washed upon the shore. I am a firefly. You'll see hundreds beckoning far into the dark reaches of the marsh. And that's where you will always find me, where the crawdads sing.

This scene really brought me to tears. I haven't felt this emotional to a movie ending since Up in 2009.

But Daisy Edgar Jones was amazing in this film. It's crazy how she was never nominated for a Golden Globe or any other award after this film.

After seeing Twisters, I immediately looked this up and watched it. Daisy Edgar Jones is officially one of my favorite actresses.
