I was actually a passenger in the vehicle behind the one that had it's mirror smashed off that idiot almost ran into the cyclist then tried to speed away before getting caught at the red light, they got what they deserved

Why would he smash this guy's mirror, then place himself in front of the car? He doesn't know how unhinged the man could be. Good way to get ran over. If you absolutely must smash a mirror, better to stay behind, or ride off in another direction. Or to follow, see where they pull off and break their mirror when they aren't in the car. Best of all to just not smash mirrors. I somehow doubt anyone has ever had their mirror broken by a cyclist and thought, "Wow, I was in the wrong. I'll drive safely and courteously now."

Nobody watching this, myself included, has any idea about what caused this incident because we haven't seen the footage. However, for those of you who don't ride everyday in a city, having a car almost hit you can be a very traumatic experience that you've never experienced caged in your car. If someone fired a gun at you and just missed, you wouldn't just be cool, so while the cyclists response wasn't productive, it's understandable.

I was at a light one time and an enraged bicyclist started yelling at the car next to me. Apparently, the passenger of the car yelled something at him and gave him the finger. Then, the driver of the car made a turn and got caught at the red light. The bicyclist knew the area and caught up to the car and started ripping the guy telling him what a Pu$$y he was and telling him to repeat whatever it was he said while he passed him from the comfort of a moving vehicle. It was like a South West airlines "Wanna get away commercial." The guy just had to sit there and squirm and hope the light turned green before before he got a beat down. You have to love Instant Karma and I have to agree with the other comments about vehicles with a baby on board have the worst drivers aboard.

That pig. I had the same but the guy left a big u lock on the floor which I gave together with the police report. They say they got his identity and he got arrested.
Anybody tries this again by me good luck because you will walk home and buy a new bike.
At the dealership bought and installed it's around $500.
