Rigging Eyes On The Scented Jerk ShadZ

Putting eyes on a soft plastic bait can make a huge difference in your catch rate, especially if you dead stick. Here is how I put 3D eyes on a @ZManFishingProducts Scented Jerk ShadZ.

Jeff, give some tweezers and the loctite gel a go. Touched on it quite a bit back to 2015 on In Fisherman with Ned with the elaztech stuff 👍

Have you considered placing the eye near the hook point? The theory being that if the bass attacks the eye, it is more likely to get the hook?

Just an idea, they make a tool in fly tying- a bodkin- that could be used and might be a little better than the toothpicks if you want to spend the money for it. A cheap one is around $4. I use it to apply eyes- it has a metal needle on on side that you can stick the eyes to and place them, then flip it over and use the handle to apply pressure to secure the eye. Not disposable, but might be better. Can remove the glue also.

I paint & tie ALOT of saltwater bucktails with thousands of eyes glued on. Tweezers and toothpicks! Superglue gel is clutch.
