This video is about how Margaret "Peggy" Shippen, a young woman with aristocratic roots in Philadelphia ended up becoming the highest paid spy in the Revolutionary War and helping turn Benedict Arnold from a disgruntled Continental Army General to a traitor, influencing him to switch sides. We also will talk about Major John Andre, the British spymaster whom Arnold turned over plans to hand West Point (a strategic fort) over to the Redcoats. And how he was caught and executed by Continentals. This is a great story of how one woman's influence affected two men's lives and how she impacted the war for independence.

Link to the video I spoke of. A compliment to today's story. "The Trial and Execution of Maj. John Andre." Good side story to this video.
