I work for a company that supports businesses across the US. I speak regularly with people who are immigrants; they are active, hard working members of their communities who are at risk of losing everything they've worked for coz of this.

I had a conversation with a MAGA coworker a couple months back about how due to some poor financial decisions but mostly due to inflation, I've barely spent any time with my wife and kid because I've worked nearly every day for the last 6 months. He kept telling me that he's voting for trump because he will lower prices with his tariffs and then I won't have to work as much. I explained how that didn't work the way he thought it did. He obviously didn't believe me but he's finally seeing articles and information that explains how every economist and financial planner is expecting to see a big rise in prices across numerous markets due to Trump's incoming polices. He's still in DENIAL... claiming trump will fight it and somehow force companies to lower I just don't get it and I'm genuinely scared how I'll keep the lights on and keep food in the house.

FYI, yes I said I made poor financial decisions, but I also have had a few raises since those mistakes happened, I would be completely fine if my electric bill hadn't increased by 33% price of groceries weren't constantly going up in price. I've even recently got a call from the electric company saying they expect prices to go up next year due to law changes. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO SURVIVE THIS?
