I think gorilla tag (at least for now) works in a cycle, every Christmas new people get a headset and install the game, and then throughout the year less people play. But when Christmas comes again the player base is boosted back up again. The question is here is when do people stop getting headsets?

Yeah gorilla tag will come back its mainly because kids have school and stuff so they are not focused on the game as they were during the summer.

That is a good point however, the player count is decreasing exponentially faster than it did the previous years I logged on a few days ago to see only 10, 000 players online which for one of the largest VR games ever is really not a lot of people

gorilla tag fangames are more popular then ever like scary baboon, cebus, and modded versions of gorilla tag
it’s also a time of the year right now where so many kids go to school however so many kids will get vr headsets so it’s gonna be a spike in popularity

It’s school. The audience of Gorilla Tag, or at least, the MAIN audience is children. I noticed this a year back too, when school started, players went down a little. Then Christmas, and Winter Break came around and everything was back to where it was.

Many people are saying its going to be dethroned by yeeps, and while yes, it has been growing alot, however on the official meta quest app, its ranked ten, which is really impressive for just a "clone" however you have to consider it hasent moved up a single placement in over two months, so i doubt that it will suddenly beat top teir apps such as beatsaber, roblox, recroom, vr chat and youtube, and of course gorilla tag so i dont think gt will be going down anytime soon
