For context on the accent: “Anna’s posing as a German heiress, but actually she’s Russian, so first I had to learn to speak in English with a proper German accent, and after that learn a slightly Russian accent to add underneath, ” Garner explained. “Then you have the element that she probably learned English from the Brits, because she’s European, but she’d also lived in America and loved to watch Gossip Girl. So, the musicality of her speech was American.”

After listening to Anna Sorokin in an in-depth interview (post-prison), it surprised me that Julie Garner had such a difficult time acquiring Anna's speech patterns when playing her character. In an Australian interview, Anna speaks English fluently and consistently with a German accent. There was no evidence of Anna going back and forth between various dialects that I found Garner doing consistently in the film. There was no "weird" dialect variation of any sort. Garner is such a wonderful actress; she should have studied Anna's vocal intonation patterns in preparing for the film.

well, there's lots of room and generosity from the rich, sadly humans can't escape where they came from. If she had better and smarter friends, perhaps she would be different. The kid spent what she couldn't afford without a plan...she got guts, but obviously something is very narcissistic and reckless about her.

she looks like Bruno Mars in drag. The Journalist dont sound like journalist. The Anna is just exhausting to watch, she looks like Chucky from Child’s Play. I wanted to see a series with Pretty People and Escapism. This was the Big Theory with a very geeky character constantly crying and yelling (that was the first 30 minutes).

The main actress” Ana” was great. I really liked the history except those moments when they involved president trump as a disaster… I think now this country in fact is a disaster. And also this crazy thing about women with out equality rights and racism… that’s all 💩.. it’s all so manipulated… it’s a shame
