Can't believe the state is entertaining the idea to condem and compensate these owners. They chose to purchase and build on "Beach front property". They took the gamble and lost. I as a tax payer should NOT have to pay for their bad decision. "Nature giveth, and Nature take ith away!"

They built in a place that would obviously erode away and now the state needs to compensate them?

Another “kick the can” from our legislative body. The Sea Grant people will come up with a “perfect” solution that is too expensive for implementation. The big question is “are we socializing this cost or is it the owner’s problem?” Elected officials need to answer this.

Sell the property and move inland! This is a fight you just aren't going to win.

I've been to one of those ocean front homes. All you hear are loud waves crashing all day.

Not to sound negative or anything like that but wth was they thinking was gonna happen at some point in time. That's why you don't build your house right by the water. Now they talking about maybe compensation for the home owners. How's about the state compensate the home owners that have the windmills in their backyards.
