Don't be self conscious about your feather sticks or fire lays, be self conscious about that "mustache".

I have that knife, along with 12 others from BPS, and it's one of the best values you can find for a quality bushcraft knife. They would easily cost three figures if they were made in the good ole USA.

Lots of "reviews" on this knife with shiny blades and pristine sheaths. Good to see one that actually got used. 🤜🤛

Absolutely loved your personality in this video man, genuine and humble, passionate and adventurous. Just ordered this knife, and hope to keep it as my pack knife when camping.

Hello from Oklahoma! Just found this video. Good Video! I say remember, fire loves chaos. I think your "fire lay" was good. It worked, that's the main thing. Thanks for the review on the knife. Thanks for all You do! God Bless!

Greetings from BC, Canada. Thanks for a very good, well balanced review. I have no problem in buying such knives and expecting that they will perform well. With the stretching of sheaths over time I generally glue a strip of thin leather inside the opening and is fixed the problem for good. Best Regards, WS

Excellent knife. I have the Adventurer and the B1 - both are razor sharp and great value for the money

Hey Joey! Yes, the BPS brand are excellent knives, especially for the low cost. "They take a lickin and keep on tickin". I own the complete series and have given many as gifts. They all get used and abused, but they hold up amazingly well. I know you were using the knife to demo its strength by battoning the wood, but...save that function for the intended tool...A HATCHET ( battoning method). I always enjoy your videos. You are so believable, honest and downright friendly. And, you certainly enjoy the outdoors and associated tools. Bravo! From your neighbour across the lake (Toronto), Norm.

I own their smallest BS1FT knife in stainless, and initially I didn't expect much from 5Cr14Mov, was buying it as a thick full tang beater knife. But they treated the steel so good, it holds up to abuse no problem and gets scary sharp easily! Proper heat treatment is crucial.

Good review! I got that same knife for Christmas from my kid and will be using it out on adventures soon. I like the mods you did. I've had some high dollar carbon steel knives rust on me before I got home, even though I'd oiled them before my trip. So, I think I'll just blue this one before I give it a chance to rust.

Don't sweat your fire technique. It worked for you. The fact that you felt like you needed to apologize speaks more to social media toxicity than anything else.
