If you only want to change individual faces you can shift+ctrl press and at the same time drag the material directly on to the face.

When you export the model as another file type (like obj or fbx), you lose the individual textures. Is there a way to keep the asigned textures?

Thanks for the video. but we can't assign uv map to different surfaces of a single solid object. accepts a single uv. Rhino developers need to fix this ASAP. We cannot texturize the different surfaces of a single object in different dimensions. The different uv coordinates of multiple surfaces disappear when they convert these surfaces into a single solid. this is a big problem
