It maxed out because you shoved the DB meter inside the horn. You must test your horns at least 10 feet away. And you must test them at an air pressure of at least 120 psi.

Db meters are supposed to be used at a meter or around 3ish feet. You’re getting a faulty reading by using it so close… it’s like someone screaming from across a car park vs right in your ear…

I don't know what theater it was but I heard when Transformers was in theaters, one of the theaters turned the movie up loud and got up to 130 decibels.

This is not a real train horn. Nathan Airchime and Leslie produced train horns used on ACTUAL American locomotives. This horn is probably 80 decibels.
