VictoryaHome - a support system that monitors health and safety, and facilitates social contact.
The VictoryaHome services do not depend on automated functions, but empower family and friends, and bring immediate human presence when needed. Therefore, it includes smart devices like an activity monitor, fall detector and an automatic pill dispenser, a smartphone app for family and friends, an online dashboard for response centres, and a mobile telepresence device called Giraff that stays with the senior.
VictoryaHome will be tested in the homes of 40 families between December 2014 and November 2015. This will be done by the VictoryaHome team in Norway, Sweden, Portugal and the Netherlands.
