Modified WPL B24 Gaz-66 Trials Truck. #wpl #b24 #b24km #gaz66
Показать описание
This WPL B24 has been modified by removing the original cargo bed and fitting an exocage of the style used in European 4x4 truck trials. It has been fitted with an unbranded 'metal case single speed' 370 motor and gearbox and has metal prop shafts. The original servo and axles are still in use. The excellent WPL V4 tyres have also been fitted in place of the original harder RTR tyres.
The exocage has been manufactured from bent and soldered brazing rod, mainly through a process of trial and error and eying it up to fit. It's not a detailed replica of an existing truck but I think it has the style of the full size versions.
I started with an older RTR version, however the KM is great value for money coming as standard with a 370 motor, two speed gearbox and WPL's excellent metal axles. I will definitely be upgrading to these on this truck. Buying the KM kit works out much cheaper than spending on individual upgrades. It also include super soft V1 tyres and wheel weights as standard!

On this truck I'm using the excellent WPL V4 tyres. These are slightly taller than the standard V1 tyres so raise the ground clearence and give a purposeful look.

The electronics in this truck are a FlySky reciever and unbranded 120A ESC, which is a massive overkill but what I had to hand for what was a budget spare parts build.
To get your WPL Kit or KM version running you should add a Res-V3 bundle to your order. This combined Reciever and ESC works well and has a host of extra features over the budget separate component options. It includes a third channel to select the high and low gear plus a built in winch controller, light outputs and sound generator all in one easy to package board - it's even safe up to 3S to really get the power through the axles!
