i think him trying to fit the puzzle pieces together is him trying desperately to fit in with society, and the child piecing them together so easily and effortlessly at the end is so heartbreaking

It's an all familiar feeling when you find yourself standing out from the crowd, but not in a good way. How you think or behave or do basic things appears different to other people. You can't help but also feel different because of this. It makes you feel isolated and lonely since it feels like there's no one else out there like you or who understands.
