one argument you didn't consider for Tanjiro surviving passed 25 is that he was temporarily turned into a demon and that reset whatever strain the mark had on his body. Just like how he got has arm and eye back though not fully restored to normal perhaps he could have be given some additional years to live

I think a lot of people missed this, but only none sun breathers die for activating the mark. Tanjoro and the first sun breather will not die from the mark and is the reason Tanjoro revitalize the mark for this generation of demon slayers. So sun breathers don’t have to worry about the curse of the demon slayer mark

I would like to think the "Curse of the Mark" ended with the death of Muzan. However, since the mark's requirements pushes your body past its limits, anybody marked who would be alive past the final battle would STILL die by 25.

Here's my interpretation on how the demon slayer mark's curse works; maybe the reason why the marks kill the user at the age of 25 is due to constant use of said mark. Gyomei was past the age of 25, yet showed no signs of heart problems because it takes time for the effects to take place. As for the other demon slayers from the sengoku era, it was stated by Kokushibo that they were slaying demons left and right, meaning they constantly used the mark. Yoriichi was an outlier likely because he was born the mark, thus his body could handle the constant strain of the mark's effect. But that's the thing, Giyu and Sanemi weren't using the marks by the end of the story, because they didn't need go use the mark anymore. For Tanjiro? Even in the last parts of the story his mark is still active, so the mark may take its toll when he hits 25 because he made his body constantly use the mark's effects. But I wholeheartedly believe the demon slayer mark's curse will shorten a users lifespan the more you use it, it's just the age of 25 is the hard limit if you use it constantly. If you are pass the age of 25 and only use it once? You shorten your lifespan by a few years.

I always thought the rule about dying before 25 was due to all the battles a marked one will fight. It's not a curse that kills at 25, it's just a power up that usually leads to the person dying before 25. I can imagine going into a state of elevated temperature and heart rate puts a toll on the body, and the fights that require such a boost are life or death struggles. So, it would make sense that a person wouldn't survive long being pushed to the limit.

Technically since tanjiro was temporarily a demon his body could have healed and prevented his life span from being shortened

It would be nice to see what happens to everyone during the timeskip. I think Tanjiro does live past 25 but doesn't die from old age. It would be kinda sick in a way to see he still had some of Muzan's cells trying to grow over time and realizing this, goes to Yoruichi for help only to find that there really isnt a cure for it other than death.

Honestly I think since muzan died the mark curse died off cause remember we see some descendants of marked people in the time skip, so I honestly think that the last three marked ones lived to old ages and passed on living long happy lives.

so heres also another theory for you guys. when tanjiro became the new demon king its possible that all the damage and backlash from using said mark could have been wiped clean since becoming a demon before reverting back to human giving him a clean slate
