Best Lights for Planted Tank

LowTech Tank Reviews Commercial Electric 4ft LED shop light for your aquarium. Picked this up today was looking through the industrial lighting section and came across this 4ft long LED shop light for about $45. Thought I would try it. WOW does it do a great job. Super bright and fills the whole tank. Two thumbs up!

If i can't hang it from my ceiling can I place it on top of the glass canopies of my aquariuml? I'm just worried that if I do then the glass canopies will get too hot
