I can totally relate being a luddite myself, a proud analytical holdout. Red Skeleton did not use a phone. Our human condition is not uniform, our old ways must be reflected on with the eyes of artists like Fran and Martin. Ask how the "internet" affects US? This is just the tip of the iceberg (New York) of the human condition in face of change and just one point of view. Here is the setup, go throughout America. I've tasted Manhattan in blizzard conditions with "Sorels" on my feet and down jacket in the blizzard of eighty two I believe. Saw a bus break an axle, within feet of me: at the base of the World Trade Center, everyone de-boarding with an east coast efficiency, onto another bus in minutes, some with high heels, dressed to the nines, I'm watching, graced as an apartment uninvited (come by anytime) guest from Maine. Catty corner, looking down, to Studio 54, up from the Co-Co Cabana. Hoping to see Andy Warhol, leaving this popular venue of "select" patrons at closing time. I did get to see Chet Baker at the "Village Vanguard". I'll always love the taste of Manhattans and will always think back at that time. Looking forward to catching the entire series, a high score for Martin, looking back at cultural moments, both the beauty and tragedy born from this opened door. They know and share.

That was Alec Baldwin interviewing Lebowitz. He may have looked like Letterman, but I assure you it was not he.

The interviewer is horrible. Asks such condescending questions.
