I once saw people screaming at eachother in the youtube comments because someone had a furry avatar, and it was all "furries should go die! screw furries, the fatherless losers!" etc, and one guy was like "personally I'm not a furry, I do have a fursona, and I own fursuits, I love the artstyle, I go to every furry convention with my friends all dressed in our fursuits, but we're not furries, we just find it fun and love the community" and everyone, even the guys who were insulting furries were just like "well that's okay then, as long as you're not a furry then you're cool, man"... People are more bothered by the title "furry" than they are about what being a furry actually even means XD
