Shakur might not draw the numbers but from a purist perspective: his defense and counter punching is beautiful to watch. The high ring IQ and patience to read his opponent. One of his easier fights nonetheless but he’s never looked better and is gracefully technical. Not even a fan of him personally but I ll take PURE boxers over knockout artists any day. WITH THAT BEING SAID…he doesn’t beat Tank. It won’t make it to decision.

i ain’t gon lie i’m on my girls account rn but this comment section is full of people who act like they know boxing😂 this man changes his tune every fight…. claimed he was going to stop the guy mid fight, was hesitant throwing counter punches and he had plenty of opportunities to stop the guy. this match was not a damn sweet science😂 no way yall continue to support a guy who when he uses the ring brings up hall of famers but when another opponent used the ring for a couple rounds he’s a runner….. its easy to outclass guys with 0 power and bad feet … under no circumstances was this supposed to go the distance! Especially since the guy was hurt bad. Say what you want but this was not a good performance for a guy fighting in his home town on a card full of action. they set this up for shakur to stop the guy and he did not…. I like Kur but to say this was a masterclass and a sweet science is disrespectful to the sport!

I watched the fight in the building and I had no complaints. Watching it for the first time after and the only complaint I have is the end of the fight. At 37:56 Shakur said he kept playing defense the whole time. I’m a big Shakur fan but come on. That’s your bread and butter but now he can understand how other ppl might feel.
