When you combine the uptime of this weapon (especially with alternating fire or single-ton firing) with its punch per shot, its actually pretty dang good. I'm still not entirely sold on the 8 beyond its gear hub tier, but glad to see it in action at the higher variants. Underrated for sure!

Love this weapon and can’t wait to try the 16s. Voltaic 8s on guardian has carried me through the early game. Seems like an underrated weapon

I got vrpg leg damage and reload back to back from free crate and I quickly upgraded to rank 5 lvl 7 just waiting for my attacker mech to max out. Vrpg is super fun to play and we can punish the opponents with it.

Hey, unrelated question; I just got the eclipse for free and decuded to try it out in place of my surge. I got it at 1 star and was running my surge pilot on it with an arc 6, when I realised that I had gone from facing mechs of my level to (averaging 5 stars and middle ground implants) to 6 star everything with maxxed implants of the highest tier, maxxed pilots and 6 star weapons. There were a SILLY amount of mortars and almost every enemy mech was legendary. I checked to see if another player was influencing the balance of that match, and I saw that I was alone. I then proceeded to switch back to my surge with my previous setup (which had a higher squad power) and I had a normal match by myself. Is this normal? Also sorry for the light novel question, I felt it needed full context
