Not sure how you value your time, but a rivet gun is much less expensive than the cost of the time it would take me to fabricate that unwieldy "rivet machine".

If the rivet doesn’t break in 2 parts it’s not installed correct though.

Nice idea but only for the desperate ;)....there are no time to bend blind all the time in real work. Too ridiculous...there are cheap drill converter that cost literally around $5
