Adding to our list of counting and number songs, we wrote a song that shows children how to multiply numbers by 2.

Our "Multiply by 2 Song" is not only a simple math song, but also carries a message that promotes mindfulness in children. It shows that multiplying material possessions can be exciting, but in order to be happy, you just need to find the joy in your heart. :)

This song should work as a great teaching supplement of basic math skills for kindergarten, preschool, elementary school, homeschooling, and young learners of English (ESL/EFL).
The chorus is very catchy - sing along with your kids!

Video Summary

Our Magic Hat has the power to double anything in sight! He proudly shows you how he multiplies all kinds of things by 2, starting from 1 ball and finishing with 20 robots. However, he also shows you that there is one thing where you don't need his magical help but is easy to do for anyone - being happy! Simply find the joy in your heart and multiply it by 2. It's easy to do :D.

Lyrics of "Multiply by 2 Song"

Magic Hat

(Verse 1)
I'm a magic hat
can you guess what I do?
Anything you give me
I'll double it for you

One ball becomes two,
and two balls become four
Three cats become six
but I can do more!

(Verse 2)
Four planes become eight
Five dolls become ten
Six cows become twelve
And I can double them again!

All the things in this world
I can multiply for you (by two)
But if you just want to be happy
Here's what you do

(Chorus:)
Just find the joy in your heart
and multiply it by two
with a little bit of magic
it's easy to doo, doo, doo, doo
(repeat)

(Verse 3)
Give me seven lovely flowers
I'll give you 14 back
Give me eight big cookies
I'll give you 16 you can stack

Do you have nine balloons?
I'll give you 18 to fly!
But if you just want to be happy
Here's my advice

(Chorus)

(Verse 4)
If you give me ten robots
Well, I can turn them into 20
You could share them with your friends
and you would still have plenty

All the things in this world
I can multiply for you (by two)
But if you just want to be happy
Here's what you do

(Chorus)
