Grades of UNFINISHED Solid Hardwood Flooring -

Different grades of hardwood floors include:
*Select & Better: The smoothest and most uniform type of flooring. Very view, very small knots, and very little color variation.
*#1 Common: Slightly larger knots with more board-to-board color variation. More character.
*#2 Common: Again, more and larger knots, color variations, but lots more character.
*#3 Common: Also known as Utility Grade or Cabin Grade - very rustic, lots of pocket knots and board-to-board color variation. If you like character, it's got plenty.
