Hello, I just got one of these and I'm seeing some very troubling behavior, I'd like your opinion if I'm doing something wrong or if I got a bad meter...

I got this primarily for measuring electrolytic capacitors, so that's where I'm focusing.

I'm getting readings of electrolytics between 10 and 20 percent lower than all the other meters I have, for example

*CEM 680uf cap:*
Owon XDM1041: 618uf
Oyigao UA6013L: 612
Thsinde 18B+: 612
ET4401: (in LCR mode) 597
ET4401: (in ECA mode) 572 <significantly lower value in EC mode happening a lot.

*Nichicon 8200uf:*
Owon XDM1041: 7620uf
Oyigao UA6013L: 7680
Thsinde 18B+: 7610
ET4401: (in LCR mode) wanders continuously between 6900 and 10400
ET4401: (in ECA mode) 6920

*Onkyo/ELNA 22, 000uf:*
Owon XDM1041: 21, 870uf
Oyigao UA6013L: (out of range)
Thsinde 18B+: 21, 380
ET4401: (in LCR mode) Continuously wanders from 22, 5xx to 36, 1xx0 - and then dips into Resistance and then back to capacitance
ET4401: (in ECA mode) wanders from 21, 900 to 22, 600 does not settle

Its really a shame: I expected this dedicated meter to give more dependable results than my other multi-purpose meters, but they all give reasonably repeatable readings while the ET4401 just wanders all over the place.

Results are similar before and after completing open and closed calibrations.

I have contacted East Tester about thin but have received no reply. Should I return this unit?
