I agree Al would be more credible if he made the personal sacrifices he's encouraging us to make. Go minimalist yourself first. None the less, he's right about AGW and overall has done great things for bringing it to our attention. Best way to be an advocate is to be a living example.

I don't understand some of the negative comments. If someone tells you your house is on fire its a good idea to check, then put it out rather than argue with them because you suspect they might be lying to you, perhaps because you think they might be an arsonist, or fireman with some malevolent motive, rather than simply some one who can see smoke.

To all those living at Houston and Florida who are fully aware of the climate change (or at least know and are aware it's real, whether they fully know its causes or not): MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES for all what you are suffering and all your loses. Can't imagine what's it like to loose almost all your things (material) or, much worse, a relative, a friend or someone dear to you due to these natural phenomenons.

To all those who still believe GW is just "bullshit propaganda", a big lie, unreal or who insist all these natural disasters are "just cyclical" and live at those areas: ENJOY THE WAVES. You couldn't deserve any better. After all: it's just cyclical, you know? You should have been prepared beforehand for this part of the cycle and all its consequences. It's natural, it's normal, it's just part of Mother Nature's behavior. Enjoy loosing everything, fellas!

Dear Mr. Gore, US is not democracy it is plutocracy. US has two eternal parties. This result in two bunch of servants of rich people. The corporations and rich families buy politicians in both parties. The corporate lobbing is allowed on daily base in Senate in Congress. Change the election of first -past-the post (US, Canada and UK only) into proportional representation system. 94 countries around the World has the proportional representation - in particular all Europe. The GMO and many pesticide, for example, are ban in Europe because the power of the true democracy.
