This is the song sung by the cast (during the movie) of The Thing (2011)

I don't get why so many people hate the movie, it's a great movie and the only notes I can make are that a few things that are shown in John Carpenter's The Thing should have been made better, like the fuel cans being around Splitface and Colins death pose/look.

I put the black and white effect on it to show it's a memory, and after all the movie happend in 1984. I hope you enjoy!

I think the story of this one connects really well to that of John Carpenter's. There were a lot of details in the movie that were well thought out; the two-headed monster, the axe in the wall, how Lars was the only member in the group who didn't speak any English and therefore got killed over it at the American camp. People say that the Thing moved much faster in this movie than in John Carpenter's and I agree, but other than that the details were really awesome in my opinion.

I was so pissed when I heard there was a remake of The Thing.  When I watched it & found out it was a prequel, I was completely thrilled!  It is not a "follow-up" to the greatest movie of all time, it is a PREquel.  The follow-up will come later and your expectations will be way too high & then all you people can come back again and bitch and whine about how terrible it was.  See you then.

I know a lot of people hate pre sequals. but I think this movie had to have one. isn't that what John Carpenter wanted?

I think the main reason people don't like this movie is that it's a disappointing follow-up to a great movie. When you get down to it, the decision to make a prequel was really just an excuse to rehash the original without calling it a remake.
