Good Morning. I'm getting a lot of PhD content sent my way and it's hard to see what's real or fake. Something came across that mentioned a comprehensive "qualifying exam." Did you have to take 1 in your 2nd yr? Was it on your courses that you took or something else? Was there an oral component to it as well? Was it multiple choice or writing based? When you passed, did it make you a PhD candidate? Thanks for any insight you can give. Jo
