The long halloween being marked as an "early story" despite being like a decade post crisis breaks my brain. Its like 50 years after the character's debut it isnt early at all

Y’all I need help I still didn’t buy any comic book but since Batman is my favourite character I want to buy a comic series so which one of these is the best since I don’t want to read all of these books. I’ve searched a lot but what I found is that Batman (year one) and Batman (the court of the owl) are the best tell me if I’m wrong.

I personally wouldn’t recommend golden and silver age material unless a reader is specifically looking for it. The writing, themes and aesthetic a really dated and once you get to crisis it all basically gets thrown away story-wise anyways. But that’s just me🤷🏻‍♂️

Strong disagree with Snyder being the best (or even a great) modern start. Morrison followed by Dini and Batman & Robin by Tomasi all the way.
