Amazing how hard it is to create proper spacing. I think a lot of players focus on getting to the ball without the correct spacing. Me included. Some good drills to lay a foundation of proper spacing.

Nick I coach in Chicago and have a question or maybe something that make for a good video! I have some students that come back from tennis after a long long time (~5-10years since college/highschool/ect). Besides general fitness and some rust I notice that their old form (grip) won't really serve them as they come back into tennis. Do you ever do lessons like this and have any advice?? Also love the videos man you're awesome.

Hey Nick, out of curiosity, do you notice your 3.5 - 4.0 (maybe even 4.5) students having a habit of not adjusting their swings in response to how high the ball bounces? e.g. still dropping the racquet back and low during approach shot on a short high bouncing ball. Because they're so used to hitting at waist height from the baseline, if they don't consciously adjust, they end up blasting the ball into space.

is there a more intuitive way to adjust our swings to meet the ball at whichever height rather than consciously trying to think about it which most likely slows our reaction time further? like maybe racquet takeback should never be lower than the apex of the ball bounce?

On the short ball, shouldn't she approach sideways?

I have a friend that started learning tennis without properly holding the racket with two hands. It's been years and it still hasn't been corrected. I hope it doesn't happen for Chrys :(

Just wondering how many hours Chrys had learnt already to reach her current progress. She looks a lot better than the video I saw before.

I liked the movement drills...simple yet foundational! I think she just needs to work on coordination, maybe just keep doing these drills! I think verbal cues might help.
