Today we experiment combining TNT minecarts with the auto crafter to make some useful mining techniques. We delve into moss madness by making an 18 cell farm. We check out Joel's new Etho statues. Then we join up with BdoubleO to get some raid ravagers for the Frogger game replica.

Season 7: Decked Out
Season 8: Doc's Ravager Air Drop
Season 9: Decked Out II
Season 10: Frogger

Glad to see the hermits are ensuring that ravagers always get a steady diet across the seasons

'When I was 8, I tried to teach myself programming'...this explains a lot.

"I wanna do shorter episodes"
>44 Minutes
We don't care how long they are or how long it takes you Etho, we'll always watch them
and for the roof of frogger could you do blue concrete with blue glass gradient to look like a sky, with grey clouds?

In this episode, Etho:
1. Invents a new super efficient way to collect deepslate
2. Reveals an insane mega moss farm that is not only super efficient but also looks cool as hell
3. Recreates frogger in Minecraft, using an advanced queuing system and randomized delay to offset movement patterns
4. Reveals that he started learning coding when he was EIGHT
5. Reveals that he used to play MMOs with multiple accounts controlled by his feet?
6. Shows off a suuuuper cool enchanting set up with supply visualizers

These videos are always such a treat. I don’t know how he does it, but I am always amazed with what he makes next.

I'm loving this kind of subtle-chaos Etho. Season 10 has been the best season so far in so many ways. I cant believe everyone has outdone themselves by specifically not outdoing themselves

22:27 Bdubs politely going "s'cuse me, guys! s'cuse me!" while walking past a bunch of angry ravagers is HILARIOUS

When Etho was talking about his childhood, all of the ravager heads were following his movement like they were listening and were like "hmm okay glad you did so we're trapped now here because of that?"

Game designer here! I have some ideas for Ravogger to counter the issue where you can just dodge the ravagers by just following them one after the other. One option is to add a time limit to make it so that if you snake through it then you have significantly less time for later sections. If you do add a time limit, having a scoreboard for going faster or different reward tiers for going faster would encourage players to take riskier maneuvers, just like Decked Out! Another option is to add pressure plates w/ lights through the street that dictate how the players have to move across the streets, removing the ability to just chase the carts as they go by. Finally, adding some optional collectibles that drop from the ceiling at the start (maybe a raffle ticket they could redeem after they play?) on the streets would encourage people to book it towards those independently of where the ravagers are, especially if there was a time limit. Also, I would lean into the double-ravager "glitch" as they were getting released. Having two go at the same time would emulate the different size trucks that exist in Frogger as well! Or, honestly, leaving it as is and letting players discover the "exploit" and then teasing them for using it might also just work as well!

Looks really good so far, I love how you're doing this and I'm excited to see how it all comes together!

I love how Etho's solution to like half his problems is TNT

Thanks for the episode!

For the frogger game, Instead of shortening the length of the roads, you can add obstacles like trash cans, benches, and stop signs. This means you have to navigate around the obstacles while dodging the ravagers. So you can’t just run straight through it.

Above Frogger, you could place a glass walkway, the sky idea would still be feasible, but would allow Hermits to have a bit of the classical view while the competitor makes their attempt. :)

The statues are amazing, really tied Joel’s area all together. Whoever did it has a great eye for builds. I think they were perfect where they were actually.

Etho programming Frogger at age 9 really speaks to his intelligence, curiosity, and grit to see projects through.
