😂 Literally just yesterday had a coaching session (my first commercial coaching, thanks for the advice, btw) where no.1 was basically the entire content of the hour long lesson. I’ve spent almost all of my time and effort over the last year and a half, meticulously trying to “sound good” (actually “sound great”) on a technical level when it was immediately apparent upon listening to back auditions that I had done so only to sacrifice almost all of my actual personality getting into the read. I was a near-perfect “sounding” example of what *not* to do acting-wise. Afterward, I redid some takes from that day, directed them at a specific person, and *what* a difference!
