How to tell the difference between Moissanite and CZ

I could tell the difference immediately! Moissanite has a higher refraction. Even more than diamond. All those pretty rainbow colors! The CZ looked pretty good, but it almost looked see through.

The 925 is actually the indication for Silver, not the stones. But im quite impressed with the look of the moissanite!! 😊

Moisies are brighter than diamonds at a fraction of the cost. They are gorgeous and should really be treated like diamonds in setting.

The way i see it cubic zirconia is cool toned while moissanite is warm tone. Probably diamond stands in the middle being neutral.

the stamp could say anything- you need to be able yo tell the difference by comparing the stones.

Plus just the fire of moissanite can bling out that CZ so it is easy to tell. Since CZ tends to have a blueish tinge and moissanite tends to have lots of rainbow colors inside, even more than a diamond since it has a very high refractive index.

I could tell through the camera on this one actually. the czs look cloudy af when those moissanites had a brilliant clear shine as they should

There is a clear distinct difference between the stones in those two bracelets however I do believe that CZ stones could make it harder to tell. Either way I'm now team moissanite regardless! My cz days have come & gone. 😁

LoL thats cheating. But i have had the same thing happen in a jewelry shop. First she said it is likely not diamonds because "they dont set diamonds in silver"..Then she pulled out the diamond tester and identified my moissanite as diamond, so it is likely "at least silver"..Stamp says silver, and D for diamond..so i guess..she didnt know what it was :D

i keep seeing people say that Cz and Moissanite shine the same but i think Cz looks so cloudy compared to moissanite. How can people say Cz’s shine be the same or even better than moissanite if moissanite’s shine rating is better than diamonds? Thats if in this video the size and clarity of the stoned are the same.
