West Bank killing of Ayşenur Eygi ‘unprovoked and unjustified’, says Blinken

The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, has said the killing of the US-Turkish peace activist Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi by an Israeli sniper was 'unprovoked and unjustified'.

He made his remarks at a press conference in London alongside his British counterpart, David Lammy. The Israeli military has said she was likely to have been unintentionally shot after an inquiry into the incident
