Why build on unspoiled land when there’s dozens of abandoned theme parks already in our country?!

I live locally to this. One thing you didn't mention regarding transport is that it would have tied in with long discussed (and legally protected) plans/aspirations to bring the Elizabeth Line to Ebbsfleet/Northfleet, so that the London Resort would have been accessible from the London Metro system. This is something that has a lot of local support but of course no money to pay for the upgrade of the existing railway to accommodate Elizabeth Line trains. Also, international trains could have stopped at the resort via Ebbsfleet International. The road situation would have been extremely tricky.
Also FYI I believe the High Court date for the Paramount hearing is set for the first half of next year. It does seem a bit pointless to fight over a carcass at this point... although there were rumours last month that some of the London Resort investors were interesting in buying some of the land which has been put up for sale.

I think a big issue was an inability to pivot and instead double down. Like I do wonder if when the jumping spiders got in the way if they pivited to say hoo if they would have gotten further

Relieved this didn't go ahead, the M25 can't cope and the Lower Thames Crossing is only a partial solution, where budget is seen widely to be of greater importance than doing a proper job, hence why the plans were, at last version, , to only link to the eastbound (Essex bound) A13, not to the westbound (London bound) as well.
