As other people in the comments have stated The Fallen is also massive. The offical size charts list him as being 40ft tall which makes him even larger than Megatron who’s 35ft and drastically larger than Optimus who is 28ft. Not sure if it was due to his momentum or the teleportation itself but when The Fallen attacked Optimus he caused a massive shockwave that sent everyone in the vicinity straight to the ground which could also help with ambushing.

It's more than that. His height, telekinesis, and strength in comparison over the other original primes sets him in a league over almost all other transformers. Optimus was lucky that the fallen was drained from his full potential and underestimated him until it was too late and Optimus got the better of him.

Also the fallen is massive. I think he like 40 foot tall his foot is the same size as Optimus's entire chest hes overall my favorite transformer the movies really did him dirty though he goes from a guy who can obliterate Grimlock in a fight in the dreamwave comic to being scared to go to earth because Optimus was there. Also they kinda ruined his design
