This is so sad! Sometimes people don't reply because they get distracted or busy with life, or sometimes they overthink their texts and delete many attempts and never send. They mean well, and I get that everyone has their own stuff to deal with. But it also sucks to be the friend who always reaches out but doesn't get a reply. It makes you not want to reach out as much. So just don't take each other for granted if you actually do care.

it always makes me think "looks like they dont want to be friends anymore, he/she never replies to me" or "oh thats so embarrassing why do I always have to be the one to reach out". I feel like i reply too much maybe.

The worst for introverts about whether to text back or not is when someone just texts “hey” or “hi.” We don’t know if what follows is worth our social energy or not, so the debate and struggle whether to respond is real. When it turns out to be a waste of social energy, I’m afraid I reply with one word answers or emojis to indicate I’m busy or not in the mood to text. 😅

Thankfully, my few but loyal friends understand me enough to not get upset when I don't text back. Not to say I haven't lost plenty of friends by not texting back but the ones that remain know I love them and don't take it to mean otherwise. Love you guys ❤ thanks for getting me
