You could think about talking through different volume/energy strategies while working on a song. Like volume levels between song sections, and how does that affect the listener. Maybe with examples from different genres, too!
We all know that it's up to the taste in the end and guidelines are loose, but I guess there are always people wondering over "should my chorus be 3dB louder than the verse to hype it up?" and stuff like that 😅

I think DECAP debunked this. Clipping is fine with ableton devices. It doesnt change the audio in ableton. You can just use Utility to turn down the master at the end. No need to make sure stuff is green

Thx for your video. Due to the logarithmic scale of the dB and the faders I use at the last stage of every channel one utility plugin more to control the volume over time instead of moving the faders. First I simply let the faders on 0 dB and make the mix with the utility plugins and at the end I finaly move the volume faders to make fine adjustments. I have much more freedom of movement of the fader and it will not affect the volume as much as allready low positioned faders. Hope this makes sense :D Best regards.

Question: Is this the same as adding a limiter to your master track to avoid clipping? At the advice of someone I know who also uses Ableton, I added a limiter and put it at -70 db in the mastering track, is this a good option? Some of the individual tracks like bass and drums turn red/clip without the limiter. With the limiter however, nothing turns red/clips.

I also just want to say that I've binged your videos since I discovered you about two weeks ago, I'm loving all your content and I know you got all the information I need covered in your videos and descriptions, I feel like I don't have to worry about anything when I'm watching your videos and very few people make me feel like that! You're doing an absolutely amazing job with these tutorials and I'm so grateful!

Can we apply the same gain staging if we add a utility to the channel and draw -6 db?

Why every song tells a story and also in your honest opinion why album 💿 viewed as one ☝️ big story and also why is verse is where the story is being detailed hopefully 🙏 you and your family are having a blessed 🥹 😇 🥲 Tuesday and May god blessed 🥹 🥲 😇 to both to you and your family too? And also do you agree with LNA Does Audio Stuff and Nathan Eswine and also Jonathan Byrd all about song structure?
