Rachel, thank you! I have been watching your videos for several years, and now I can pronounce every sound correctly and know how to link words together. Cutting lines, and especially intonation, is the weak part for me at present.

I am a college ALP teacher and a corporate trainer for international executives. I love your videos and refer my students/clients to watch the segments that provide additional practice/explanation on topics we cover. Your videos are clear, focused, with ample examples, and most of all - effective. Thank you!

ohh my God, now i understand why they speak like they do, i didnt know about thought group, and i neither didnt know about the reduction and about stress-timed language and syllabe timed language.

Thanks Rachel! although I lived more than half of my life in Canada and I'm considered "fluent", I know I need a lot of help, especially now I'm becoming hearing impaired due to genetic "gifts"... so videos like this one with graphics help me a lot. I'm now away from Canada, back for a few years in my native country where, sadly, many people seem to "hate anything English" on top of a generalized 'anti-American sentiment' :-( :-( :-( so your videos (and internet in general) are a blessing for me - I can keep connected with the language, people and culture I love. Thanks for making this world a better place to live.

Hi Rachel, Great video!!! As an English-learner for more than 30 years, I must say that linking and intonation are the most difficult areas for us! Best, Albert

Now, I fully understand what thought groups are because sometimes I speak too fast without pausing and breathing. And I am having a hard time connecting my speech and it will turn me unclear to others. Thank you, Rachel. I will definitely keep this in mind.
