My Tamiya & Kyosho Fleet: Part 2 The Buggies.

Here we have part two of my Tamiya and Kyosho RC collection.
This episode features my built 2wd and 4wd buggies!
Nikko Turbo Panther, TRF custom Top Force, Avante 2011, Astute, Kyosho Turbo Optima, Top Force Evo, RC10 B6. 2,and DT02 Holiday buggy.

Hey great to listen to your RC car stories and some lovely buggies you have there. Don't blame you for getting that Team Associated buggy from your mate at that price. What a bargain! Oh yes the DT-02 is a good little chassis and cheap enough that you don't need to worry about it too much when it takes a beating. That was a sad tale about your Niko Panther going in the river 😢 Does look a bit like they were 'inspired' by the Hornet. Great stuff mate 😁👍👍

Hi James and thanks for a very interesting chat about your buggy collection and the backstories! I started with a Turbo Hopper so you are right about them being a gateway! Pity yours drowned! Mine rotted away because I left the old nickel batteries in it for several years!
Good to see the old speed run DT02 get some love at the end after all those superb top of the range buggies!

Thanks for the tour through the buggies and it was cool to hear the story on each one. I will say I was not expecting the modern Associated buggy in there but after hearing the story you would have been nuts not to get it! Loads of great buggies and I was glad to hear you got yourself a Super Astute! You will enjoy that build and I think it is going to drive very nicely too! Top Force Evo every day there for me pal. Your Top Force is mint though with all those hop ups!
Super Astute and Egress surely are going to give that Turbo Optima a run for their money when you get those built up pal!

I remember that little Nikko buggy! I don't think I had one, I think I had a friend who had 3 of them or something, so I think I drove some of his... Maybe... It's a while ago, he he...

Awesome stories and you said it, quality over quantity 😊 They're all gorgeous 😮🤩 It would have been a relatively bad decision not to jump on that B6.2, even if the body shape is not nice (as many, if not all cab forward are 😢), but very nice paint job. I was too very surprised by the DT02 during the speed challenge ✌ Oh yeah we miss Tamiya "Glenn" Legends 😢 Actually, there's a tiny good side, I buy less cars. Was not interested at all at TRF before I saw his channel... now it became an endless pit 😅 Can't wait to see the next episode, especially another glimpse of the 959 / Celica and other touring /rally cars 💪 Take care 😎🤝

Now that's a pretty sweet collection starting with the good old Nikko. That brand was my gateway drug into the hobby as well and still have fond memories of running that buggy up and down the street with the huge square radio and the 6 ft collapsible antenna 😄😂 I don't know if you're joining Reit Place's 1/12 scale speed run challenge this year, but I'm gonna give it a go. I just emptied my wallet on a Rlaarlo AM X12 roller with all the goodies!😃 Hope to see you there!

Very cool collection, I’m looking forward to seeing rally cars, I’m in a rally car phase myself at the moment, but I go back to my Sand Viper all the time, I put some Super Astute front tyres on it and an RZ in the back, it’s bulletproof

See very with you. I got a kyosho turbo scorpion. I'd only ever built tamiyas, what an experience it was building a kyosho kit. Do want to build another now. Much like your optima the turbo scorpion is the best 2wd buggy I've driven it is a joy. I'm waiting for it to dry and warm up then I'll try it on the tesco figure of 8 especially with the new tarmac.

Old Guy asleep at the wheel again (me)... Dude, all this commenting last night, I thought it was on this video... WTF is wrong with me.... Good stuff and I'm with you about the Top Force, it's a love-hate thing. I wouldn't turn one away but I sure as hell wont buy one.. No fart heard here other than me own. LOVE the white body man!!!! The Avante, I think I'd rather have the Egress and I been eyeing that kit for a few years now... All in All, that's one hell of a collection man!!!!
