This video aims to bring the poem "Keep Going" of Edgar Albert Guest, to life. Edgar Albert Guest (1881-1959) was a British-born American poet, known for his sentimental and inspirational verse.

This particular poem encourages readers not to give up when they are faced with challenges. Even when things are not going well, keep pushing on. You never know how close you are to success and making it to the other side.

The poem in this video is narrated by Shane Morris (an award winning voice actor). We took care to edit the audio as perfectly as we can.

Every time I think I am close, it turns out to be a mirage. I have been down so many rabbit holes and dead ends that I am surprised I keep going. It seems I have no choice. I will never surrender until I achieve my goal.

NORMAN Lili

“Please Daddy can I have a horse?” his little daughter whined
“Sorry Darling we don’t have the room, we don’t live on a farm
You have a rabbit and a kitten, we can’t afford much else”
But Judith cried, screamed and sulked, he took her by the arm
Led her slowly up to bed, a bedtime story about some Elves
Judith slow to go to sleep seethed away, till slumber brought the calm. –

But later on a shadow lay upon her bed, and whispered in her ear
“Your Mommy would have bought a horse if Mommy hadn’t died
You miss your Mommy, loved your Mommy, but Mommy isn’t here
Your Daddy is so hard and mean, you should have a horse” it cried
The Spirit talked most every night and Judith hatched a plan
If Daddy wouldn’t buy a horse she’d listen to her guide. –

Norman told her what to do, that stuff that kills the ants
Just a little drop into his coffee maybe twice a week
Draw some pictures that’ll make him scared, leave them in my room
Wake at night and scream and scream, interrupt his sleep
As Daddy becomes weaker over time, and fills up with remorse
Tell him Mommy visits every night and says to buy a horse. –

Norman’s right inside my mind, he’s quickly getting worse
Teaches me all kinds of stuff, words I’ve never heard
Lifts me from my bed at night, I float around the room
How to reach the Spirit world, how to impose a curse
Daddy’s had a breakdown, the Welfare’s coming soon
And all because of a stubborn man who wouldn’t buy a horse. –

I’ve grown a lot and been around, Norman’s with me still
People tend to shun me but I have Norman’s love
A strange boy and a familiar, we observe the Sabbats rites
There’s others we could mix with and while away the nights
Sing and dance, taste the life and sacrifice a Dove
I’m happy now with all I need, my Spirit, deep insight.
