I’m calling it rn. In the future some guy is going to find the debris shield for ingenuity and then they are going to auction it for lots of money

We haven’t even been there and we’re already leaving trash everywhere. That’s how we roll.

Never realised how close Johnny 5 was to real life.

It's so crazy how it almost looks like it was a thriving planet but was destroyed by something catastrophic.

I'm amazed. Pournelle said aircraft couldn't fly on Mars because the air is too thin. Admittedly, he did specify airplanes and not helicopters, but I'm still amazed he got it wrong.

With all the hustle and bustle of life, we tend to forget what's actually going on here. This is an incredible feat of engineering, and its truly amazing that we are able to experience seeing this.

We are very blessed and fortunate to be living in this time, so many wonderful things have happened and we’re here to witness all of it. I’m 66 years old, and I’ve seen so many amazing things happen while living. Its really been a great life experience.

Can't get over how long this project has been going on. A successful mission I'd say. Bravo!

Man mars looks so depressing. I said this before but mars just looks like the rocky desert part from earth. 😂

I got to hear a lecture given by one of the leaders of the team that built the lil’ whirly bird at the Wright Brothers Memorial at Kill Devil Hills, NC last summer.

My Father volunteers there giving lectures. My Dad’s name is Leroy if you are ever there, and he is my hero.

Erroneous, to the story, but anywhose; the Ingenuity’s team leader gave an outdoor presentation one Saturday night. Which was awesome with Mars visible in the sky. He went on to say they felt the Wright Brothers should be recognized for their efforts, so they actually attached a postage stamp sized portion of the original Wright Flyer that made the first powered flight in 1903 onto the airframe of the Ingenuity.

I just thought that was a really nice touch, and insane to imagine how far we have come in 120 years.

Wilbur & Orville could never have dreamed a piece of their flyer would be part of the first aircraft to fly on another planet.

That is the definition of *”bonkers”.* I believe is the technical term.

I wish I could remember the gentleman giving the lecture’s name. Very humble, incredibly engaging, and informative. They even had a scale model of Ingenuity fly for everyone in a presentation given the following day.

Man was a gentleman & a scholar. Amazing stuff.

It's nice to know we don't just dump rubbish on our own planet

Its crazy how it looks like a desert with the stereotypical Hollywood Mexico scene orange hue

The next rover MUST be on a pair of sixties roller skates.

Very first action we do on a new planet is to pollute it.
