As another Korean guy who works in restaurants, I've done this. Worked in a Thai restaurant with a Thai lady and we took turns being "the manager". It's great.

I witnessed a situation once with a Karen once in this restaurant in my city's Chinatown. Myself and the couple at the table next to me glanced at each other then ducked down. The manager actually came around the counter with a spray bottle and every time the Karen argued, she got sprayed in the face, all while being yelled at. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen, but at the same time I was too scared to accidentally make eye contact.
