Yakult is a probiotic that is meant to be good for your stomach. Its originally from Japan.

Yakult is a Japanese brand, Yakult "contains more than 8 billion Lactobacillus casei Shirota, which are capable of reaching the intestines alive, improving the properties of the intestinal flora", so the sugar in it if for keep the lactobacilli alive and been abble to reproduce. So technically it is not a snack, it is more of a healthy food supplement. The new governamental food labels sometimes can be "misleading" like in this case about sugar contents, by the time you ingest the product, the lactobacilli have already eaten and processed almost all the sugar. Another example of misleading labeling would be the label of canned olives that states "sodium excess", but Who drinks the brine???

Hahahaha!! Fun one! My husband and I were kids in the 60’s and one several years ago, we were driving through a few states on our way back from visiting my parents. We got into the conversation of the candies we remembered growing up and we tried to think of all of them! That year at Christmas, I was so surprised and couldn’t stop laughing when I found my husband had found almost every single one of those candies and filled my stocking!! 😂 Some of those candies were...ChickoStix, candy necklaces, Wax lips, Bazooka bubble gum, Jolly Ranchers, Sugar Daddies and more than I can remember at the moment. Thank for the fun! We will at least be trying the Vuela. Hahahaha

Amigos, I did the opposite (I grew up in Mexico and now live in the USA) I love your enthusiasm and willingness to embrace the Mexican culture. For better taste, I highly recommend drinking the YAKULTS super cold and remember to shake them fiercely before you open them. If you don't, the concentrated ingredients stick to the bottom of the bottle diminishing the flavor of the drink. Saludos!!!

Some of them are acquired tastes. Many is the time I've reacted poorly to something my wife brought home, and then two days later she is like "where did they go?". "Um... I ate them all". "I thought you didn't like them..."

Yakult isn't a candy 😂. It supposed to be a stomach protective drink 😂. And you should try real mexican candies like, pulparindos, jamoncillos (handmade), cocadas, rollo de guayaba, obleas, or tamarindos, those are REAL mexican candies. Most of the products that Oxxo sells are trash.

My favorite candy as a mexican kid was any Sonric's products, specially Tix-Tix. Have you tried those?

You should go to a dulcería. You’ll find tons of dulces artesanales. 😁

😂COMPLETELY agree with you Hillary that the candy should come with only one plunger. So important to do it right🤣

And the one with the ‘surprise’ in it reminded me to Cracker Jacks! In ‘the olden days’ they actually put a TOY prize in the box. Now, probably due to presently litigation, it’s just a paper ‘prize’. BOOOORING! Hahahahaha

You should’ve asked the Oxxo staff what were the most purchased ones. Yakult is a Japanese international company that developed the lacticbaciles to get into the stomach. It has to be refrigerated otherwise they die. It’s one per day. So strange you don’t know this very famous brand and product

"Exceso de calories. Exceso de azucares" They put those warnings on a bag of organic blueberries. LOL!

They do have a Yakult light with 3g sugar ! A lil healthier if you’re looking for a daily probiotic... these are great if you tend to have a sensitive stomach when traveling!

that is mexican "junk food" not real traditional mexican candy, each region has it's own candies, for example in mexico city you can find candies made with honey and amaranto or "cristilized" fruits, in oaxaca they like candies with tamarindo, in puebla... borrachitos, camotes, etc, in guanajuato... cajetas. and so...
