Nice video Aaron. Lovely result.

Really agree with your sentiments as well. About not getting bogged down in technicalities, and take the time to enjoy the gear and learn it so that way when you do hit snags you're more informed to troubleshoot.

Definitely the first times will just be super frustrating at times, but it's all worth it most definitely.

Hey, Aaron! Great video. Besides the calibration, seeing and mount balance, I’ve found that polar alignment is also crucial to achieve the best guiding possible. I must say that in heavily light polluted areas, you cannot expect values under 1 RMS, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. If you’re getting round stars, this RMS value is inconsequential. Well, cheers! That is an awesome picture!

Just saw this vid. Great job. So what’s your overall impression of the 8” RC?

Solid video man! I have a question though. If you have to pick a calibration star that is close to the celestial meridian as possible, doesn't that mean your deep space object has to be close to the celestial meridian as well?
